Workshop Focus
The guiding question of all aac workshops is: “How do we want to build in the future?”
Each program explores this theme through real-world challenges with real stakeholders – whether adapting a university clinic to new requirements, transforming a historic palace into a workplace, or experimenting with innovative materials.

Benefits for students
Students will have the opportunity to collaborate with peers from around the world on an inspiring architectural design project. They are part of pushing research forward. They will be supported by dedicated tutors and gmp partners, and the project will be enriched by guest lectures and critiques from renowned architects and industry experts.

Scholarship Opportunities
Applicants may apply for scholarships that include:

  • Full tuition coverage in Hamburg and at the excursion site, including all materials
  • Free shared accommodation in Hamburg and at the excursion location for the duration of the workshop

The aac Academy for Architectural Culture is a private and non-profit organisation founded by the architects von Gerkan, Marg and Partners. Our aim is to explore how we want to build in the future, based on real challenges, and to support the education of architecture students from different cultural backgrounds.
