Welcome to our new EDMT doctoral students!

The Doctoral Program in Management of Technology (EDMT) is pleased to welcome five new PhD students who officially joined the program.

On October 29, 2025, the EDMT doctoral program officially welcomed its new cohort of PhD students. Prof. Thomas Weber, program director, opened the event and shared guiding principles inspired by Kairos (the right or opportune moment) and Chronos (linear time), encouraging students to recognize, balance, and create meaningful moments in their research and academic journey.

All but one of the newly arrived doctoral students subsequently presented themselves:

  • Mohammad BADRI, joining the team of Prof. Negar Kiyavash (BAN)
  • Arafe BOUSHERIAN, joining the team of Prof. Negar Kiyavash (BAN)
  • Carolyn CRICHTON, joining the team of Prof. Marc Gruber (ENTC)*
  • Lukas LOOSER, joining the team of Prof. Daniel Kuhn (RAO)
  • Euan RICHARDON, joining the team of Prof. Gaétan de Rassenfosse (STIP)

Special guest Bahar Taskesen, an EDMT Alumni, shared her journey of perseverance and growth, emphasizing patience and the courage to step outside one’s comfort zone. Her experience underscored the importance of thoughtful decision-making and resilience throughout the doctoral path.

The event also introduced the new PhD representatives, Anaëlle Touré and Franziska Zollner, who will take over Mengmeng Li's role.

The 2025 EDMT Welcome Event concluded with a reception and small buffet, where students and faculty had the chance to exchange ideas and get to know each other.
